Nutella Bark
Nutella and Rice Krispies make a killer combo. Full stop. Whether it is a spoon dipped in nutella then dipped in a jar of rice krispies or anything alike. Being so good I thought about making rice Krispies out of the combo but ended up with making up barks. I prefer the bark; I now have a container filled with them placed in the kitchen for anyone to entertain himself or herself with whenever...

I didnt buy clothing, perfumes, or anything of that sort when visiting Barcelona. I bought food. I was slightly scolded for doing that but well, Dubai has become an amazing fashion hub these days! So nearly everything I put my eyes on when I travel (In terms of brands, fashion, etc) is available right here in Dubai. So it does not feel special. When I travel, I like to buy something thats not...

sabah el khair
Now say it, Sabah el khair. Thats good morning in Arabic. :) It holds a slightly weird combination of sweet and sour ingredients that you might think wont work, but I think they do. It goes greatly as a breakfast or brunch dish. Smoked salmon open sandwich with blow torched goat cheese, quail eggs, and honey:  -1 wholemeal slice of bread -A slice of smoked salmon -A tablespoon of crumbled...

Barcelona: La Baqueria
After some long hours in the airport and plane, we finally set foot in Dubai. Spanish grounds are now far away, and although I’m super glad to see my loved ones, theres a pinch of me thats missing Barcelona terribly.  Anyways, lets not grieve. And lets look at some food. Now a visit to Barcelona MUST include a visit to la Baqueria, positioned within the city centre, it not only offers the...

Chocolate. And pretzels. And Cheesecakes. What more do you want? I am in love with chocolate cheesecakes these days, so not typical (Maybe to me), and so divine! And pretzels, whole-grain biscuits covered in salt, in desserts. Yes please. The crust and the cheesecake go great together. They balance. Now to the ingredients: Crust: -100g pretzels -1 tablespoon brown sugar -75g unsalted...

The bread that bursted with flavor
You might have noticed how yellow the dough is! Well, this is no ordinary olive oil, a kind woman got it for us and for some reason, and its color is extremely strong MashaAllah.  Anyways, this stuffed bread recipe is just divine. Easy to make and even easier to devour. It’s stuffed with kashkaval cheese and fresh coriander. Then topped off with dozens of flavor filled spices. Make this for...

Black Sesame Seed muffins with Black Sesame seed...
From the days of when I was a small girl and to this day, one of my favorite breakfast meals ever are ten seed rusks. I simply adore them, well my whole family does too, small to big. Its become like a tradition, the staple breakfast dish we feast on upon waking up. We’d always make some hot milk and tea, pour into cups, and begin dunking the rusks into the milk and trying to pull it out...

I like your popping
Instead of the typical flavors that macarons range from these days such as pistachio, chocolate, and so on. I decided to take a different approach and made some funky macarons that go by the flavor of Pop rocks! I’ve seen Adriano Zumbo implement the flavor many times, and so does Heston Blumenthal in many other dishes other than macarons and well, my hands itched for it! I simply had to...

What an awesome way to start the morning. Get those metal forks, and press them into this fluffy chocolate filled mini cake. A big fat chocolate chip pancake. We don’t want to layer; we just want a warm yummy & chubby pancake that’s oh so cute. These pancakes are extremely satisfying to dig into, and those chocolate chips give the whole thing a beautiful balance. The kids will enjoy these in...

Experimenting with cookie dough
When I made the Double Chocolate cookies the day before, I simply couldn’t get enough of the cookie dough! It was DELICIOUS. So highly addicted to everything cookie dough, I made cookie dough balls! Mama doesn’t seem to like the “Raw effect” of the cookie dough, but I love it! A slight problem is that the kids are away for a couple of days, so there is no one to test these...

A little review, and a recipe
Thrilled is how I feel when new restaurants open in the area, especially if I hear good reviews. Today we decided to go have dinner at jones the grocer, which opened recently in Dubai and man is it close to my house! And I couldnt be happier. I am just in love with the fact that they have their own grocery! (Which I will hopefully be visiting obsessively as soon as Obtain my driving license)...

Chai Karak Ice Cream ايس كريم شاي كرك
Well, the ice cream containers I’ve ordered are here! I’m really happy about them, finally going to store my homemade ice cream in visually pleasing containers. I am a Chocoholic
Okay, i admit. I love chocolate. And during Ramadan, it is probably the winner item  in bringing out my weakness during fasting. A simple sniff of it makes me itch for a bite. This fondness is also shared with other forms of desserts as well. Today, these were especially made for a very sweet lady called Caroline. Another thing, my new Ramadan-obsession food are apricots! Let the Macaron craze continue
What i really love about Macarons. Like really really love. Is their brittleness. The way they break in your mouth is just beautiful. I always enjoy noticing how gently they are removed and placed in their just as pretty boxes. Here is a recipe for macarons with a Creme Patisserie filling. I do have a feeling that the Creme Patisserie is quite heavy for the macarons and therefore advice...

Macarons
After watching a couple of episodes of Adriano Zumbo’s show i just couldn’t resist baking some Macarons! I seriously need to try his Burger Macarons and his bubblegum Macarons, and his Wasabi pea eclairs! *I don’t like wasabi but the noises it made while he bit into it were mouthwatering!*.  Filled with Creme Patisserie and fresh sliced strawberries.

After several burned crusts, malfunctions, and numerous final tarts plummeting and splattering on the floor a few of them managed to survive till the end.
